A Place In The U.S. That I Want To Visit

        
          I would really want to go to Puerto Rico.  Puerto Rico is in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  I went there when I was really young for my cousins wedding but I don't remember it at all.  Part of my family lives there so they always tell me how it is so beautiful in the summer with the flowers, the Spanish music, the beaches, and the warm weather.  The way that I would like to arrive in Puerto Rico by airplane.  I would need to take all of my summer clothes and some jeans and a sweatshirt just in case it gets cold at night.
          When I go there I really want to see the beaches.  I heard that they are really known for their beautiful beaches.  I've also heard that the water is really clear and blue.  Another place that would be cool to visit is the Arecibo Observatory.  It is the worlds largest radar telescope.  The observatory is operated by Cornell University and under agreement with the NSF.

          Jon Krakauer was born in 1954.  When he was twenty-two Krakauer graduated from Hampshire College.  He worked as a carpenter and a commercial fishermen.  Krakauer moved a lot between Colorado, Alaska, and the Pacific Northwest.  When he has some free time he likes to be in the mountains.  He took at least 3 major trips into the mountains in Southeast Alaska, Patagonian Andes, and Mt. Everest.In 1998 established a fund for Mt. Everest.  One year later Krakauer was presented with and award in literature from  the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Into theWild

          After Midsummer Night's Dream we will be starting Into the Wild.  The book was written by Jon Krakauer.  The  book was written in 1996.  It was also made into a movie that was made in 2007.  It is about a student who just graduated named Christopher McCandless.  He starts on an adventure to climb one of the largest peaks in Alaska.  He ends up being ill-prepared and dies in a bus that h is living in.  The snow had melted and blocked McCandless in an he could not get out.
